People are excited about the upcoming classes in Path of Exile 2, even though they may not necessarily play that. When will the Druid class come out in PoE 2? What new skills will be added for Druid? Let’s get into these focuses.
The Druid class is confirmed to be the upcoming class in the next Path of Exile 2 league, which is expected to release in August 2025. It’s not just a rumor or leak; the game developer has already said it will be part of the next big update. Many players are really curious and excited about the Druid. Some remember Druids from other games like World of Warcraft or Dungeons & Dragons. In those games, Druids are known for being able to change their shape and use magic from nature, like animals and plants. Fans hope this new class will feel just as cool in Path of Exile 2. Druid will also have three Ascendancies.
PoE 2 Druid Forms & Gameplay Style
The Druid might not just be about hitting enemies really hard alone. Instead, it could be great for helping your whole team win battles. For example, the bear Druid stomps near a volcano, and that causes magma orbs to appear. This shows the Druid can trigger special effects in the environment. You could use this to work with other players. For instance, if your friend’s character uses big jumping attacks like leap slam or earthquake, you can make those attacks even stronger by adding your own magic or stomps. This means the Druid could be a support class, someone who helps the whole team do better, not just deal the most damage alone.
Druid is a Strength/Intelligence-based character that specializes in Shapeshifting spells. When the Druid is in human form, they cast useful nature spells, but when things get dangerous, they can transform into different animal forms. So instead of always looking like a human, the Druid can turn into creatures, including a bear or a werewolf. When you become a bear, your character turns into a big, strong beast with powerful arms ready to smash enemies. This change happens automatically when you use bear attacks such as Bear Maul. If you want to cast a spell instead, your character will quickly switch back to human form. When you attack enemies as a bear, you build up a resource called Rage. Rage is like the bear’s growing anger, and it makes your attacks stronger the more you hit. You can actually see glowing runes or marks on the bear’s back that show how much Rage you have. The more Rage you have, the more powerful your attacks become.
These two forms have already been shown in gameplay videos of the game. But there might be a third form we don’t know yet. It could be a dragon, a bird, or even a magical creature called a chimera. This makes the Druid special because you get to look and fight in very different ways. Also, when the Druid changes shape, they become much bigger and more powerful-looking than normal monsters. This makes playing the Druid feel exciting and different.
PoE 2 Druid Skills
Lightning Storm: Creates an area that strikes enemies with lightning, dealing electric damage.
Volcano: Summons a volcano that fires fiery projectiles, and slamming near it releases extra fire attacks.
Bear Maul: Builds up Rage, a resource used to power other abilities.
Rampage: While moving, you repeatedly slam the ground, damaging nearby enemies.
Furious Slam: Smashes the ground around you, stunning and damaging foes.
Ferocious Roar: Makes your next Slam hit twice by adding a delayed aftershock effect.
Summoned Wolves: Calls wolves to fight for you, distracting enemies and weakening them.
PoE 2 Druid Weapons
Players speculate that the Druid will use heavy weapons that fit the nature and animal theme, such as a two-handed mace. Using these weapons while shapeshifting could make the Druid a fun and powerful fighter who feels different from other classes.
PoE 2 Druid Summons/Companions
The Druid will probably be able to call animal friends to fight with them. These might be wolves, ravens or creepers. This would make the Druid kind of like a beast master, controlling animals to help in battles. Players love this idea because it means the Druid can fight in many different ways, by turning into animals or by sending animal friends to attack.
