#1 – Whisperer

Most Played Ascendancy in Path of Exile 3.27 Legacy of Phrecia. Mana-scaling power baked directly into the ascendancy. Extremely efficient for projectile + crit builds. Naturally synergizes with wand skills.

• Already strong before, even stronger now with~50% of all Whisperers

Why Whisperer is still a top-tier pick for 3.27?

Wand archetypes are objectively stronger now than in 2025. Right-side tree scaling (crit, proj, attack speed) remains king. Unless heavily nerfed in patch notes, Whisperer is a safe S-tier expectation. Top meta Path of Exile LoP league starter in 3.27.

#2 – Ancestral Commander 

Second Most Played in Path of Exile 3.27 Legacy of Phrecia league. Essentially a “Juggernaut++”. Massive defensive AND offensive stacking in one ascendancy.

Broken-level strengths

Players begged for this ascendancy to go core. Viewed as one of the most fun melee experiences PoE has had. If melee is viable in 3.27, Ancestral Commander will be there.

#3 – Blind Prophet 

Meta at the time, but more questionable now. Lightning Strike meta dominance in 2025.

 #4 – Scavenger (Scion-based)

High flexibility, strong but less concentrated. Borrowing power from multiple ascendancies.

• Wanders (Power Siphon)

• Righteous Fire

Why it matters more now

Wand buffs since last Phrecia. Scion flexibility shines in short leagues. Strong synergy with right-side passive tree heatmaps. High A-tier pick with strong wander potential.

From the heat map, right side of the tree was dominant. Crit, projectile, and attack scaling ruled. This directly supports:

• Whisperer

• Scavenger wander builds

• Blind Prophet (to a lesser extent)
