How to Farm Goblin Dungeon in Diablo 4?

Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred Goblin Dungeon Guide

The Goblin Dungeon (often called the Secret Goblin Dungeon) is a special bonus area introduced during Diablo 4's March of the Goblins event and later tied into the War Plan system in Lord of Hatred. Instead of being a normal dungeon you can select on the map, the Goblin Dungeon is a hidden area that you enter through a Goblin Portal. These portals can occasionally appear after killing Treasure Goblins if you have the appropriate War Plan upgrades unlocked.

• Resplendent Chests

• Shrines that can create additional enemies and rewards

• A special Goblin Boss at the end

How to Farm Goblin Dungeon in Diablo 4?

Requirements

Before attempting the strategy, you'll need access to the Secret Goblin Dungeon through a Goblin Portal. Your War Plans should include both the Nemesis node and Greed is Good node. Nemesis enables shrine-spawned boss duplicates, while Greed is Good is necessary for generating Goblin Portals consistently.

Step 1: Set Up the Dungeon Reset

Before entering the Goblin Portal, teleport to town and immediately return through your Town Portal to your original location. This seemingly small step is critical because it creates the conditions needed to reset the dungeon later.

Once you've done that, enter the Secret Goblin Dungeon as normal.

Step 2: Locate the Shrines

As you move through the dungeon, pay close attention to any shrines you encounter. There can be up to two shrines inside the Goblin Dungeon, especially if the portal originated from a Nightmare Dungeon with shrine-related modifiers. Do not activate the shrines yet. Instead, remember their locations and continue toward the Goblin Boss.

Step 3: Kill the Boss but Leave the Chest

Defeat the Goblin Boss normally. After the boss dies, a chest appears that would normally be destroyed to spawn additional goblins. Leave the chest untouched. This is the key part of the strategy. If you destroy the chest immediately, you'll lose the opportunity to duplicate the boss.

Step 4: Use the Shrines to Spawn Extra Bosses

Return to the first shrine and activate it. Thanks to the Nemesis interaction, another version of the Goblin Boss can spawn. Kill the boss again, but once again leave the chest untouched. Next, move to the second shrine. Wait until the first shrine's effect expires, then activate the second shrine. This can spawn another Goblin Boss, allowing you to secure a third boss kill and a third unopened chest. At this stage, you've already tripled your boss rewards while still having all three goblin-spawning chests available.

Step 5: Open All Chests

Now return and destroy each boss chest. Every chest releases additional goblins, creating a massive loot explosion with multiple chances at Corrupted Roots, crafting materials, and Mythic Tributes.

Step 6: Reset the Dungeon for a Fourth Kill

After looting everything, teleport to town from inside the Goblin Dungeon. Instead of continuing elsewhere, use your Town Portal to return. Because of the setup performed before entering the dungeon, you'll enter a fresh version of the Goblin Dungeon. The shrines will no longer be available, but the Goblin Boss will be alive again. Kill the boss a fourth time, destroy its chest, and collect another full round of rewards.

Why This Method Is So Powerful

This trick effectively turns a single Goblin Portal into four boss encounters. At minimum, players can obtain:

• Four Goblin Boss kills

• Four boss loot drops

• Four goblin chest encounters

• Significantly more Corrupted Roots

• Multiple chances at Mythic Tributes

For players farming Lord of Hatred endgame materials, this is currently one of the most efficient ways to maximize the value of every Goblin Portal and dramatically increase loot per run.
