According to the Wikipedia, the 7th day of the 7th month of the lunar calendar is the Chinese Tanabata, on this day, a group of magpies will build a bridge to let the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl reunite for one day, so it is also called the Cowherd and Weaver Girl day. In Animal Crossing New Horizons, to celebrate the festival on August 25, Nintendo added two new seasonal nook shopping items that available within a limited time in the game, they are ACNH Hikoboshi Outfit and Orihime Outfit, which inspired by the story and you can buy them on the Nook Stop terminal.

When & How to Get ACNH Hikoboshi Outfit and Orihime Outfit?

The ACNH Cowherd and Weaver Girl Day celebration is on August 25, 2020, so Hikoboshi Outfit and Orihime Outfit have been released and can be purchased from August 1 to August 31, each outfit is priced at 2500 Animal Crossing New Horizons bells. After buying the outfit as the following steps, you will receive the item in your mailbox the next day. Wear it when you enjoy the firework show!

1. Head into the Resident Services building

2. Walk to the Nook Stop terminal, select the “Nook Shopping” services

3. Scrolling the options, choose the “Special Goods”

4. Press “L” or “R” on your Switch to move catalog to Seasonal items

5. Choose Hikoboshi Outfit or Orihime Outfit, and press “A” to confirm the purchase

6. You can place the order for yourself or send it as a gift to others
