2/16/2021 12:41:29 PM

There's a bunch of different fencing options in Animal Crossing, including country fencing, barbed wire fencing, stone, etc. But sometimes those fences just don't work in certain situations or for what you're going for, so we are showing you some of the great alternatives for fencing.

#1 The Jail Bars

Placing up some jail bars around the land bridge. What’s great about the jail bars is that they are tall enough, that they enclose the space and make this feel like a true bridge, whereas some of the other items aren't as impactful when you're trying to do a bridge facing north to south, they are better for a cliffside. If you were to use normal fencing on the side of your land bridge, it limits your walkway. The jail bars fencing allows you to have a large area of land for your bridge, you can change whatever pattern on the bridge, you can use wooden planks, anything like that to make this seem even more like a bridge.

#2 The Log Stakes

The next one is the log stakes. These are the most similar to fencing, you can get them a lot closer to the edge than you can than the normal fencing, which is nice in situations if you are doing a cliff bridge or something like that and you need them to butt up against the side of the cliff. It looks a lot better than the normal fencing. You can also put a flower in between or even put a bush. You could continue to add them all the way the entire length of the bridge or whatever area you're trying to work on. If you're doing a different area that's not a bridge, you can always spin the log stakes around and that just adds a little bit more visual interest. You can also space them out if you don't want them directly up next to each other. There are so many options with the log stakes. You can customize them a lot more, there are also different colors of log stakes. this is just another option if you're looking for something a little bit different than the normal fencing.

#3 The Bamboo Partitions

Next up, we want to show you some different options for scenarios like when you have an overlook flower field and you want to include something similar to fencing but you don't want to completely block yourself off with fencing. The first one would be perfect on a jungle theme island, those are super popular right now, the bamboo partitions. You can place some of them up against the ledge because they do sit flush on the ledge. you can put them right up next to it, there are different colors of the bamboo items, which is nice to add more variety. So that you can completely enjoy the flower field and be able to overlook the flower field, but also it doesn’t feel like you are going to fall off the cliff. You can walk right to the edge of the cliff, it doesn't impede your view.

#4 The Bamboo Stop Blocks

And if you did have a little bit more cliff space and want to add something with a little bit lower profile, you could always use the bamboo stop blocks. They can go right to the edge of the cliffside. there are different color customization, something like this would be nice on a jungle-themed island. But you can also incorporate it into a bunch of other different themes.

#5 The Swinging Benches

Last but not least, this one is fantastic. These are the swinging benches. You can have them placed down on the bottom level and you push them right up next to the cliffside. It gives a nice railing look on the side of the cliff, and just like the bamboo, there are so many different customization options for the swinging benches. It just allows so much variation and creativity with the swinging benches. From the second level, You can see through the bottom of the benches, so it's not blocking a lot of your view, but it still gives that illusion of fencing.
