Since the major animal crossing new horizons 2.0 update, a lot of people have already or are considering restarting their animal crossing games.

There have been a ton of really interesting new game changes that only newer players or people who restart their islands will really notice. Here provide some new information about ACNH updates for you.

Animal Crossing New Horizons Updates- New Game Changes Are Here

ACNH Update- New app

When Tom Nook gives you your nook phone. He'll also give you another little extra free gift as well that players previously couldn't get, this is the new app that was introduced in the 2.0 update which basically gives new players all kinds of tips on how to play the game that's currently going on and much more.

It makes sense that Tom Nook would give you, this is actually a nice little change that will definitely help newer players who maybe aren't. So familiar with the series and need all the help, they can get however if you didn't restart your island or you're not a new player, you would have to have bought this app for yourself from resident services. So really it is mostly designed for newer players and just a helpful little addition for them.

ACNH Update- the stone version of the museum

A much bigger change and one that is a bit of a downgrade is that Nintendo actually took out the stone version of the museum that was previously in the game. Although it still exists for players who never upgraded it further, this cannot be gotten by new players or those who restart their islands.

Nintendo has skipped this step entirely with the addition of the roost meaning that players don't have to go through the same process.

They used to in order to unlock the art exhibit, now once you upgrade your museum from a tent, it will already have the art exhibit as a part of it, so you don't have to go through the effort or the hassle or whatever to get that extra exhibit.

Redefine the start of new horizons where originally it seemed intentional that you were very limited about where you could go and that you'd have to progress day by day to unlock more of your island to explore whereas

ACNH Update- Wetsuit

Now the wetsuit effectively does allow you to explore so much of your island freely, of course, the player would still have to go through the effort of getting the bells, in order to buy the wetsuit,  however, it is still an extra step.

ACNH Update- The seasonal cap and island tours

The restart or new players will have to look out for is the fact that you won't be able to access a lot of the seasonal cap and island tours if you haven't yet gone past that time in the game, if your character hasn't lived through a lot of the different seasons in the game, they won't be able to access these special islands where you can go to farm different resources.

This is kind of a way of Nintendo time locking you out of certain islands, so you can't get a bunch of out-of-season resources before you've ever actually experienced these seasons yourself in the game in retrospect.

During these times as the time has gone by on your switch, you should be able to unlock these special islands which are definitely good overall.
