ACNH Getting Villager Photograph Method - Animal Crossing New Horizons Character's Photo Guide

There was a fast ACNH villager photo getting method. However, it no longer works in Animal Crossing New Horizons. As of the 1.9 update, Nintendo has effectively patched this out. If you want a chance of getting a villager photograph, the item that you gift them must have a sellback value of at least 750 ACNH bells. Despite the fact that they're in a stack, they still individually sell for 250 bells or 500 bells. If they're a non-native fruit, so this doesn't make up the 750 bells that would be required in order for you to have a chance of getting a villager picture in Animal Crossing New Horizons. 1. Raise Friendship With Your Villagers

3. Fill Your Inventory With Items

One of the most popular methods to get villager photos was to fill your inventory with stacked fruits and then go and gift it to a villager. When they gift it to you, they won't be able to give you an item back as your inventory is counted as full. So they'll have to mail it to you. And when they mail you an item, there's a higher chance of this actually being a villager photograph. Now that this method no longer works and you can't use the stacked fruit trick, what items should you be using in order to get villager photos?

These items could be your best shots. Some unsafe items which can be displayed in villager homes are the blue roses and gold roses and these would be a lot easier for you to actually get, as you can just pluck them pretty much every other day. So getting those items might be the best way of doing it. All of these items have an individual value of at least 750 bells. So they all make really good items to gift your villagers without you really having to worry about them displaying them or keeping them around. It's still a higher chance of you getting a photograph in the mail as well. So the method just works the best in general. Just remember to keep an eye on your mail when you're doing this method, so you don't miss out on any photographs that your villagers may have ended up mailing to you.

The easiest items the blue roses and the gold roses can be set up in villagers home, there is a way around this now thanks to the 2.0 update. That is the ability to go to Isabelle to discuss a resident and reset their home. That means if they display any ugly items in there that you don't want, Isabelle can reset their home back to the way that it was. You need a happy paradise in order to unlock this feature, in fact, you could even use Tom Nook's Service to basically make their home the way it was at the very start. So this isn't as much of an issue as it was before the 2.0 update which is definitely a good thing.

How To Get Villager’s Photo Twice In ACNH?

Since the 2.0 update, people are getting duplicate photos of their villagers. This seems to be happening a lot especially since you get villager photos in newer interactions like you visiting a villager's home and such well, don't worry this isn't a glitch. You definitely can get duplicates of villager photos. It's definitely a cool thing as you could use those villager photos for trading. Such one important thing to note though is that the 2.0.4 version is very recent. 

Villagers will only give you a duplicate of their photo after you've spoken to them for 10 days, starting from the day you received their first photo. So if for some reason you do want to get villager photo duplicates, you better keep that in mind as you won't be able to just get them immediately, you will have to talk to them for those 10 days still.

How To Get Special Villagers Photo in ACNH?

There is another way to get photos really fast whilst you're waiting this is via happy home paradise where you can create vacation homes for special characters. This is the way of getting their special photographs. For example, when you create a vacation for the captain, you'll get his photograph, but you'll also get it for all of his family as well. So you get a lot of photographs just for completing one fairly simple task. It's really neat collecting all of the different photos that you get from the special characters.

There are a lot of different special characters, sadly you will need their amiibos to get them. However, there are some characters in the game which you can get photos of without their amiibos. For example Jingle during Toy Day and Rover during the May Day Tour. You can even get some special photographs of Isabelle, Tom Nook, Timmy and Tommy via the nook link app which is on your Nintendo online on your smartphone. You will need to collect Nook Points daily to get these.

How To Increase Friendship With Your Villager In ACNH

The Harvey's island expansion, Katrina could definitely play a part in this. When you talk to her, you may potentially get a random friendship increase with one of your villagers. If you're lucky enough to get the friendship fortune. Keep in mind that if your luck with friendship diminishes, then you potentially could lose some friendship points with a villager as well. You won't be able to tell which either, so this definitely could be a bit of a problem.
