In Path of Exile 3.26, a new farming method has emerged as one of the strongest and most profitable setups for endgame players: the Allflame of the Ethereal strategy. This method provides impressive loot returns in a short amount of time and is based around specific map mechanics and atlas passives. This guide presents a breakdown of the loot, the strategy, and the atlas tree used to achieve high-tier map and scarab farming potential.
Allflames were reintroduced in PoE 3.26, having previously appeared in the Cropolis League. These items transform the natural monster packs in a map, replacing them with new mobs that come with unique properties. The green variant, known as the Allflame Ember of the Ethereal, stands out due to its loot-focused mechanics.
This version of the Allflame prevents mobs from dropping equipment, flasks, or tinctures. As a result, the loot pool shifts heavily toward better drops like currency, scarabs, maps, and divination cards. This refined loot filtering results in far more valuable outcomes when farming.
To fully utilize the Allflame's effects, it’s important to scale the number of local monsters in the map. Mechanics like Domination and Ritual are ideal, as they naturally increase the local mob count. Domination adds shrine-influenced packs, while Ritual introduces pre-spawned monsters around the pylons.
The loot potential from this strategy is extremely high. In a 10-map test run focused on scarabs, the profit reached 40+ Divines in under 90 minutes. Another 10-map batch aimed at mapping produced over 700 tier 16 maps, including 21 new memory maps and 15 tier 17 maps, averaging 1.5 tier 17s per map.
Scarabs form a major part of the profit. Magic monsters, which are the primary targets for the loot-enhancing mechanics, drop the majority of valuable scarabs. This is why the Horned Scarab of Bloodlines is used to increase the number of magic monsters.
The loot explosions become especially wild when you combine Allflames with memory maps, memory alters that increase scarab quantity, and the right atlas passives. Some memory modifiers can provide 200% increased quantity or 90% reduced rarity penalties, making them ideal to use on packs of natural magic monsters. One map yielded so much loot that it couldn’t be fully looted within six portals.
Below, we show you the loot you could get from Allflame farming:

So we can say Ethereal Allflame is the best farm introduced in the 3.26 league with the insane loot explosions! Here we share one of the best atlas tree and map planning for this mechanic:
Setup
The core setup includes:
3x Allflame Ember of the Ethereal
1x Horned Scarab of Bloodlines
1x Betrayal Scarab of the Allflame
This combination ensures that almost all mobs in the map are replaced with the Ethereal mobs, thanks to the scaling effect from the betrayal scarab. This setup mimics the density from Cropolis League, providing around five to six packs of mobs replaced.
Map Selection
Memory maps are ideal, particularly those that drop the Fortress Tier 17 map. Favor layouts like Jungle Valley if you're trying to avoid boss altars or need better memory map sustain.
If you're focusing on farming maps instead of scarabs, switch some atlas tree nodes to prioritize map drops over scarab duplication.
Atlas Tree
The recommended atlas tree emphasizes quantity and map effect nodes:
All map modifier effect nodes
Quantity and rarity clusters in the center
Chance to duplicate scarabs, maps, and currency
Memory influence nodes for more memory maps
Block mechanics with low-value scarabs; for example, block off Legion once it's no longer profitable
Include nodes for always-expensive scarabs like Essence, Ambush, Harvest, and Expedition
This tree is similar to gold farming trees and is designed to maximize efficient returns through consistent monster scaling and drop duplication.
Farming Tips
Roll your memory maps for high scarab percent chance if farming scarabs
Use quant crafts to boost drop rates
Save strong memory map modifiers for natural magic packs
Use rituals and domination to increase base monster counts
If you lack a strong build, consider farming Allflames from Syndicate leader safehouses
Investment and Profit
The investment per 10 maps was around 3.300 chaos (roughly 22 Divines), while scarab loot alone returned 7.000 chaos, easily doubling the investment. Including currency, maps, and other drops, total profit reached 10.700 chaos, or over 40 Divines in just 10 maps.
Even with rising Allflame prices (from 45c to 70c), the farm remains profitable. Most of the value comes from smart atlas tree planning, map rolling, and understanding which mechanics yield the most value.
