Diablo 4 Season 10 Farming Guide - Best Ways to Farm in Diablo 4 S10

Whether you’re chasing Paragon levels, Chaos Armor, or those elusive Greater Affix rolls, knowing where and how to farm efficiently makes all the difference. A good Diablo 4 Season 10 farming guide helps you focus on the most efficient paths — what to prioritize, where to go, and when to grind — so you’re not wasting time on low-yield content or inefficient rotations. Each section explains where to farm, why it’s efficient, and how to optimize your runs, so you can stop wasting time and start progressing faster through Torment IV and beyond.

1. How to Farm XP (Paragon Levels) in Diablo 4 Season 10

Best Method: The Pit

Nothing beats the Pit for XP — it’s by far the most efficient endgame source. Your goal is to run the highest Pit tier you can clear in under 4 minutes. Don’t aim for max tiers like 150; no one can reliably clear those yet. A Pit 60–70 that you can farm fast will give more XP/hour than struggling in 100+ tiers.

Example:

Pit 65 in 2 minutes vs. Pit 140 in 14 minutes — Pit 65 gives way more XP per hour.

Recommended Difficulty: Tormented IV and above (for high XP scaling).

Optimization Tips:

Prioritize speed over raw tier level. Consider mobility skills if your build lacks movement (swap one gear piece or skill to move faster). Play in groups — group XP is much faster, and kills are shared.

2. How to Farm Specific Uniques

Each boss in Diablo 4 has a specific loot table that drops certain Uniques.

  • Saber of Tascall (Barbarian) → Drops from Varshan

  • Raven’s Unique (Druid) → Drops from The Beast in Ice

It lists every boss and the Uniques they drop, including all new S10 Diablo 4 items.

Tip:

Run the highest Tormented tier possible — higher difficulty = higher chance for Greater Affix Uniques.

Use Echo versions of bosses for higher drop rates.

3. How to Farm Forgotten Souls

Forgotten Souls are one of the main crafting bottlenecks in Season 10 (used for Masterworking, rerolling, and upgrading gear).

Legion Events

Marked on the world map (labeled Legion).

Drop Forgotten Souls + Grim Favors.

Especially good right now because of the Double Cache Event (bonus rewards from Grim Favors).

Helltides

Open Tortured Gifts (Helltide Chests) for large amounts of Forgotten Souls. Prioritize high-value chests (Weapons/Armor). Also drop Abstruse Sigils, Fiend Roses, and crafting mats.

Whispers of the Dead

These reward Grim Favors, which you turn in for caches that contain Forgotten Souls. Look for activities marked with red gate icons — those grant bonus Grim Favors for ~1 hour rotations.

Infernal Hordes

Excellent Forgotten Soul and material yield. Best when combined with Helltide and Legion events for rotation efficiency.

World Bosses

Always worth doing; can drop Tributes (used for Mythic farming in the Undercity).

4. How to Farm Gems & Obols (Obesite)

Gems

Dropped throughout Infernal Hordes and Nightmare Dungeons. Nightmare Sigils can roll modifiers that increase gem and material drops. You can trade gems directly for Diablo 4 gold or items if you don’t want to grind. Salvaging rare jewelry also yields gem dust and base gems for crafting higher tiers.

Obesite (Crafting Material)

Primarily used for Masterworking gear (high-end crafting upgrades). Best sources:

  • Horadric Strongrooms (open-world events with treasure icons)

  • Helltide Chests

  • Nightmare Dungeon boss rooms

Always complete any event marked with the “red gate” Grim Favor bonus — these rotate hourly and drop Obesite frequently.

5. How to Farm Obducite (Used for Masterworking & Gear Upgrading)

Obducite (also called Obesite in the transcript) is an endgame crafting material used to upgrade or refine gear at the Masterworking station. Best Farming Methods:

1. Horadric Strongrooms

These are small mini-event zones scattered across the open world and marked with a treasure chest icon. They’re fast, soloable, and have a very high chance to drop Obducite. Always open them if you see them — they’re one of the most consistent sources.

2. Nightmare Dungeons

Some Nightmare Dungeon modifiers (Sigil affixes) directly increase the drop rate of crafting materials like Obducite. Check the tooltip of your Nightmare Sigil — if it lists crafting material bonuses, prioritize those.

3. Tributes of Refinement (Expansion Required)

These are new expansion-exclusive activities that reward large amounts of Obducite. You’ll need the Vessel of Hatred expansion to access them. Best done in groups — people organize these as “ROA runs” (Rotation of Activities):

  • Everyone in the group pops 1–5 Tribute activations.

  • This keeps the farming loop continuous and efficient.

  • Highly efficient — a few Tribute rotations can yield dozens of Obducite.

6. How to Farm Gold

The narrator is honest — the fastest way to earn millions or billions of gold is by trading valuable items on AOEAH. You can sell Uniques, crafting materials, or Chaos Armors to other players.

1. Whispers of the Dead

Completing activities for Grim Favors and turning them in at the Tree grants large gold caches.

Prioritize Hell Tide Whispers — you can double-dip by farming Forgotten Souls and other loot.

2. Infernal Hordes

Offers gold at the end of the run, but the narrator recommends prioritizing Obducite instead — it’s more valuable long term.

Avoid: Cellars

Only give 1 Grim Favor. Have double loading screens and poor time efficiency — skip them entirely.

7. How to Farm Infernal Warp

Infernal Warp is an important seasonal currency used for Chaos content, crafting, and unlocking Infernal Caches that lead to Chaos Uniques.

1. Helltides

#1 most efficient method for Infernal Warp farming. Helltide mobs and chests can roll a mod that gives “Infernal Warp on Hit”.Once you get that mod, go as fast as possible — you’ll gain warp extremely quickly. Also synergizes with farming Forgotten Souls and Obducite at the same time.

2. Chaos Rifts (Inside Nightmare Dungeons)

Certain Nightmare Dungeon modifiers spawn Chaos Rifts inside dungeons. Clearing these gives chunks of Infernal Warp and chaos-related crafting loot.

3. Bounty Board Resets

You can reset your bounty board infinitely by:

Creating a new character.

Completing the early bounties again.

Each time you complete the Reputation Board, you earn Infernal Warp and other rewards. This method is repetitive but guaranteed and scales infinitely.

Bonus: Greater Infernal Caches

Opening these can guarantee Chaos Uniques if you’ve completed the relevant Season Journey “Urn of Chaos Armor” unlock. Very valuable if you’re farming for Chaos Uniques specifically.

8. How to Farm Mythics (Purple Endgame Items)

The highest rarity in Diablo 4, above Uniques. Require Sparks + Runes to craft, or can drop from Tormented-tier bosses.

1. Tormented Tier Bosses

Run Tormented IV bosses (Varshan, Andariel, Duriel, etc.). Always do them in groups for efficiency — even though everyone pays for their own summon, multiple bosses spawn more adds = more Bile and materials. These bosses have the best Mythic drop rates in the game.

2. Tributes (Undercity)

There are specific Tributes that can drop Mythics. The “United” Tribute lets all party members share rewards, making it very group-friendly. Run these in 4-player rotations for maximum efficiency.

3. Reputation Board (Bounty Board)

Guaranteed Spark reward at the end of each full Reputation cycle.

2 Sparks + Runes = one crafted Mythic of your choice.

Players are making new characters repeatedly to farm these guaranteed Sparks infinitely.

4. Echo of Lilith (Tormented I or higher)

Your first kill guarantees a Spark of Mythic Creation. She’s significantly easier now in Season 10 — no longer a massive skill check.

9. How to Farm Chaos Armor (Chaos Uniques)

Best Source: Infernal Hordes

If you’re chasing Chaos Armors, Infernal Hordes are your absolute best source. These are the wave-based encounters inside Hellbreach zones — and farming them properly guarantees you Chaos Uniques every run.

Step-by-Step Method

Target Wave Cap 8 or 10

Wave Cap 10 → Guaranteed 666 Aether, which lets you open the maximum reward chest.

Wave Cap 8 → Often more efficient if you have a good build or group — easier to sustain and faster clear times.

Avoid Wave Cap 6 → Harder to hit the 666 Aether threshold, meaning fewer guaranteed Chaos drops.

Use the Infernal Warp System

Visit the vendor inside the Infernal Horde hub. Purchase Warp Scrolls (using Seasonal Chaos Currency).

Consume the Infernal Warp to trigger the Viz’Jaq Veneration event.

Completing it grants Infernal Caches — guaranteed to drop a Chaos Unique each time.

Open in Groups

Always run Hordes in a group. Everyone can open their cache, multiplying Chaos drops for the entire party.

Bonus Tip: The Compass Loop

Infernal Caches can drop Compasses.

Use these to open additional events that reward another Infernal Cache — chaining your Chaos Unique drops indefinitely.

Result:
A good group running Wave Cap 8–10 Infernal Hordes can farm multiple Chaos Armors per hour, alongside bonus gems, Obols, and crafting mats.

10. How to Farm Obols (Opals)

Best Source: The Pit

If you want Obols to gamble for Greater Affix items or rerolls, The Pit remains king.

Run Pit Tiers 60–70 for the best efficiency.

Your goal: Clear each run in 1–2 minutes for optimal Obol yield per hour.

How It Works

Every Pit clear rewards Obols and crafting materials. The faster the clear, the more Obols per time spent. Higher tiers technically increase Obol quantity, but time efficiency beats tier level — e.g., Pit 65 in 2 minutes outperforms Pit 140 in 15 minutes.

Bonus Tips

Use Chaos Rifts inside the Pit whenever they spawn — they can yield extra Obols or gems. Don’t bother exchanging runes for Obols; the ratio is terrible. If you have too many Obols, spend them directly on the Opal Vendor to roll for Greater Affix pieces.

11. How to Farm Runes

Runes are key for crafting Mythic Items in Season 10 — but they’re time-consuming to farm without trade or group play.

Tribute Events (Expansion Required)

Some Tributes reward Runes directly. Always run these in groups to multiply rune drops.

Trading

“Have Boach, need M” — many players trade 1:1 or 2:1 by rarity. The most reliable method.

Use trade chat or sites to do rune-for-rune exchanges.

Tormented IV Exalted Bosses

Every Tormented IV version of Exalted Bosses has a chance to drop high-tier runes. Group farming increases your odds significantly.

Avoid

  • Exchanging runes at the Rune Vendor — exchange rates are awful.

  • Solo farming without Tribute access — it’s slow and inefficient.

Result:
The best route is group Tribute farming + trading, ensuring consistent rune flow for your Mythic recipes.

12. How to Farm Greater Affix (GA) Gear

Greater Affix items are upgraded versions of regular gear with boosted stats — the true endgame chase for min-maxers.

Obol Vendor Gambling

Spend Obols at the Obal Vendor for your target slot (e.g., gloves, amulet). You can reroll until you hit a Greater Affix item with perfect rolls.

Pit Farming

Technically, higher Pit tiers can drop more GA gear. However, even Pit 150 clears only drop 1–2 GA items — efficiency is poor. You’re better off speed-farming mid-tier Pits (60–80) and gambling with your Obols.

Trading

The most efficient way to get BiS GA gear. Search or post your needs on trade chat or sites; Greater Affix gear is the most traded item category.

Best Practice

  • Target-farm the item slot you want (e.g., rings, amulets).

  • Avoid wasting Obols on random slots.

  • Always check Affix values before rerolling — GA rolls are extremely rare.
