8/25/2021 11:08:37 AM

September is nearly here, which means there are some exciting updates and changes throughout the month. this includes some new items to get your hands on, seasonal changes, new crafting materials and recipes, events to enjoy, and a lot more. we've decided to take a look at all the updates and changes that you should know about for the northern and southern hemispheres in the month of September 2021. this is going to be a lot of fun and there's a lot to go over, let's jump straight into this!

#1 Autumn Crafting Materials Items

There are some cool items, which you can get your hands on in the month of September if you're in the northern hemisphere, which related to the start of Autumn. you'll be able to get some new crafting materials, which you might have, especially if you've only played Animal Crossing New Horizons for the first time this year, which are the Acorns and the Pine Cones. they're great for you to decorate your island with, but you can also use them to craft a bunch of different items that you'll be able to collect throughout the months of September. you can get one of them from Isabel, but the rest you'll have to get from DIY recipes in balloons. this is probably one of the trickiest ways to get DIY recipes in the game, you'll have to keep trying keep your eyes out, there's some good tricks online for getting balloons, it's worth looking at those if you want to get all of these different recipes. these ones are worth getting your hands on, especially before they disappear. make sure you head out there get as many of them as you can. you could also trade them with your southern hemisphere friends.

#2 Spring Crafting Materials & Seasonal Items

For those of you in the southern hemisphere, don't worry you're not missing out. there is a new seasonal crafting material for you to get your hands on, which is the Young Spring Bamboo. you can exclusively get it from bamboo trees. there's a lot of cool items to get your hands on that are all bamboo themed, you will have to get these from DIY recipes hidden in balloons. it'll be a bit of a grind to get all of these if you don't have many if this is your first year playing the game. it could be a good idea to go out there to trade with players, but you could also hunt for them yourself if you enjoyed doing that. either way, we'd recommend getting all of these items crafted, because there's many good ones, once they're gone, you will have to wait an entire year to get them again unless you decide to trade with someone. it's worth going out there, hitting the trees getting as much young Spring bamboo as you can before it's all gone.

#4 Events

September is not the best month for events in Animal Crossing New Horizons. we thought that only the fireworks festival was not much. sadly, in September, there's only one event. it's for northern hemisphere players only the Bug Off event, which happens on the 25th of September. this is the last bug off of the year. if you don't have the items yet or you started playing recently, you'll want to do this one before you have to wait until next year to enjoy more of them. there are some cool items to get from this, if you don't have all of them, we recommend playing through it, they're worth getting. but this is the only event that is happening throughout the month, don't worry though, because October has a lot more in terms of events, because it has a major in-game event, so you won't be waiting too long until you can enjoy more events in the game. it'll be crazy from October all the way until January. there will be lots going on in the upcoming months.

#5 Nook Shopping Items

There some new limited time items you can get from the nook shopping menu or app in September. and now there are some brand new returning seasonal items you'll want to get throughout this month. a lot of them focus on food. we’d always want to see more food items introduced in Animal Crossing New Horizons as we didn't have many when the game came out. if you're interested in that, you'll probably like a lot of these. in total, there are about five to get your hands on and then four of them happen to be brand new. if you want to get those, we recommend getting them as soon as you possibly can, because they are limited time. they'll only appear throughout the month of September, if you want to get them again, you will have to wait an entire year to get them.

So that is a lot of new bugs fish sea creatures to get your hands on throughout the month. as always, we recommend checking out nookipedia as they'll give you the exact times locations where you can get all of these different critters.
