Bells
Animal Crossing
The real joy of Path of Exile 2's latest patch comes from builds that are both powerful and an absolute blast to play. Everyone is asking the same question: what's the strongest starter build? Read our PoE 2 0.3 most fun tier list, we ranked the most fun classes and builds for The Third Edict.
Choosing a build based solely on its power level is a classic pitfall that leads to one thing: burnout. You might blast through the campaign, but if the core gameplay loop isn't enjoyable, you'll quickly find yourself losing the motivation to log in. The end-game grind becomes a chore instead of an adventure. A truly fun build solves this problem. It is the engine of your entire league experience. Without further ado, let's dive into PoE 2 0.3 most fun builds.
These builds are highlighted for their incredibly satisfying mechanics, power fantasy, and ability to dominate the game with style.
Warrior - Molten Fissure ("Fisher" Build)
The most fun build ever and a must-play. The build can create screen-wide explosions of "molten fishes" either by spamming Leap Slam or throwing and detonating Forge Hammers. It's extremely satisfying, badass, and offers both fantastic clear and massive single-target damage.
Playstyle: High-mobility, explosive, screen-wide AoE.
Monk - Unarmed (Hollow Palm) - Ice Strike / Stormwave
Pure kinetic satisfaction." The new Hollow Palm passive eliminates weapon swapping and enables a fluid, powerful unarmed playstyle. Ice Strike provides smooth clear and mobility, while Stormwave + Tempest Flurry offers strong ranged leveling and boss nuking. Described as "Jackie Chan meets Path of Exile."
Playstyle: Fast, fluid, and impactful melee (or ranged while leveling).
These builds are reliable, powerful, and offer a proven formula for fun that remains highly engaging from start to finish.
Ranger/Deadeye - Lightning Arrow Tornado
The most popular build for a reason. Lightning Arrow provides effortless, excellent clear from level 1. The end-game Tornado + Barrage combo for bossing is called a "lovely feeling" and offers a humongous damage boost. It's simple, effective, and dominant.
Note: A warning is given that starting with this top-tier build might make others feel worse, potentially leading to burnout.
Playstyle: Hold down a button for clear, set up a powerful combo for bosses.
Mercenary (Tactician) / Deadeye - Explosive Shot Crossbow
Favorite build of all time. Explosive Shot provides screen-wide clearing where projectiles "split, fork, and explode." Bossing is tactical and satisfying, involving stunning the target with grenades before unleashing hell. A fantastic all-arounder.
Playstyle: Active and tactical ranged combat with huge explosions.
These builds have a uniquely fun and satisfying core gameplay loop but are noted to have a specific weakness that holds them back from the top tiers.
Witch/Lich - Essence Drain & Contagion ("Erectile Dysfunction Lich")
One of the "most satisfying builds out there." The mechanic of spreading curses that wipe entire screens is compared to "chlamydia at a Coachella festival." The clear is unparalleled and enjoyable from the very start of the campaign. Its single-target damage is "unfortunately always going to be lacking," which can be a drawback in boss-heavy content.
Playstyle: Apply a curse and watch it spread exponentially through packs of enemies.
This build is powerful and mentioned, but isn't discussed with the same level of excitement or detail as the others, placing it lower on the fun-scale by comparison.
Sorceress - Arc (with Elemental Infusions)
Arc is a classic skill that feels great to use. The new Infusion mechanic (picking up orbs left by skills like Orb of Storms) adds a engaging layer of gameplay, providing a " ton of damage" and buffs.
Playstyle: Traditional caster with a new interactive buff system to manage.
