Spectres are one of the strongest scaling tools for summoners in Path of Exile 0.3 The Third Edict. Since the new patch changed minion AI and scaling, picking the right specter is critical to your entire build. Today, we got you a PoE 2 0.3 spectre tier list, ranked the best spectres in The Thrid Edict.

PoE 2 0.3 Best Abyssal Spectre - Path of Exile 2 Spectres Tier List 0.3

In Path of Exile 2, an Abyssal Spectre is a type of specter (summoned monster) that comes from the Abyss mechanic. Just like other specters, you can raise them using the Raise Spectre skill, but Abyssal Spectres are special because they come from Abyssal monsters that crawl out of cracks during Abysses. They often have unique attack or spell patterns tied to chaos, darkness, poison, or AoE explosions, depending on the specific Abyss monster you reanimate. Unlike generic campaign specters, Abyssal ones usually scale much harder with AoE clear or damage over time effects. Next, let's check PoE 2 0.3 best abyssal spectres ranking.

PoE 2 0.3 Abyssal Spectre Ranking

A Tier

Strider of the Pit

Comparable to Haran spectres with decent attack speed and survivability. Their slam skill looks flashy but is on a long cooldown and irrelevant. Outperformed by Vulgar and Zealot, and nowhere near Mandibles. If you want style points and still want functionality, they’re fine.

Blackblooded Elite

Survivable, but their AI splits between a weak beam and a strong projectile attack. If they only used one, they’d be good. Inconsistent due to AI. Fun to experiment with, but too unreliable for serious mapping.

B Tier

Blackblooded Blisterboil

Suicide/explosion mechanic might have some niche synergy (like Infernal Legion-style setups).Damage is bad without external support, and constantly reviving them is a nightmare. Could be part of a meme build, not practical.

Big Hound of the Pit (57 Spirit)

Damage is slightly better than Nettle Ants. HP too low, dies in juiced maps, expensive spirit cost. Only “okay” on paper, but unusable in endgame.

C Tier

Lightless Abomination

Looks awesome, skills look cool, but performance is weak compared to better spectres. Still not as unusable as the bottom.

D Tier

All of these are either too slow, too squishy, or completely inconsistent:

  • Lightless Moray – Good skill wasted by bad AI priorities.

  • Lightless Vengewing – Single-target damage okay, but terrible speed and clear.

  • Lightless Serpent – Weak stats overall.

  • Abyssal Strangler / Walker / Shambler – All too slow with bad numbers.

  • Flesh & Gargantuan Larvae – “Brain dead” AI, literally unusable.

  • Fungoid / Primordium of the Pit – Slow, mediocre damage.

  • Blackblooded Tarhulk – Snail-tier movement speed.

  • Blackblooded Proboscite – Weird pseudo-melee, but too slow and weak.

  • Small Hound of the Pit (34 Spirit) – Laughably bad in every way.
