The PvP zones in Diablo 4 Season 10 have emerged as one of the most lucrative farming areas in the game, offering players a chance to gather gold, legendary, etc. Read our D4 Season 10 PvP zones guide, we'll in depth the drops, best zones, and farm strategies.

The PvP zone in Diablo 4 is one of the most lucrative farming areas, especially if you revisit it like veterans did. It’s focused on clickable objects (baleful chests) and elite monster density, not necessarily combat. Unlike traditional farming routes that focus heavily on combat, these zones revolve around baleful chests, elite monster spawns, and strategic route management, making them ideal for both casual players and seasoned veterans looking to maximize loot per hour.
Legendary Mats: Baleful fragments, coiling wards, abstract sigils.
Herbs & Consumables: Elixirs and incenses from gathering.
Gold: Billion+ gold/hour is possible.
Gear: 50+ ancestral and unique items (some with multiple gas).
Runes: 10–15+ rare runes and 3–10 legendary runes per run.
Gambling Materials: Crystals used in PvP towns to gamble for armor and unique Diablo 4 items.
Size & Chest Count:
Nearly 3× larger than the southern zone. 29 chest spawn locations, with 14–16 chests active at once.
Efficiency:
Runs can be completed in ~4.5 minutes, including map load times. Offers nearly 3× the chest loot compared to the southern zone per run.
Loot Potential per Chest:
1–4 legendary items
At least 1 rune
42–82 veiled crystals
80 common materials
48 angel breaths
Forgotten souls and coiling wards
D4 Gold: 1–2 million per chest
Nightmare dungeon sigils, seed of hatred packs, and some ancestral gear
More chests, faster runs, and higher total loot output. Ideal for focused farming of gold, materials, and legendary gear.
Size & Chest Count:
9 chest spawn locations, up to 5 active chests at a time.
Efficiency:
Can run all 5 chests in <2 minutes if you know the locations.
Loot:
Similar loot per chest as the northern zone but fewer total chests per run. Quick mini-runs when you’re short on time or practicing chest patterns. Less overall loot than northern zone, but faster loops.
Purpose: Needed to open baleful chests.
Setup: Assign Bloodmark to your emote wheel (default E on PC).
Timing: Activate immediately upon entering the PvP zone.
Effect: Unlocks chests, but flags you for PvP.
Turn off crossplay: Go to character select → Connect tab → disable cross-network play.
Result: Only players on your platform/server will appear, drastically reducing PvP encounters.
Benefit: You can farm with minimal risk; during testing, no other players were encountered for hours.
Favorite the PvP town waypoint:
Saves one loading screen when teleporting back. Speeds up chest farming runs.
World Reset Trick:
To respawn chests, elites, and bosses, return to town → character select → reload into PvP zone. This fully resets the zone, including the roaming boss and elite spawns.
Northern Zone:
Larger, more chests (29 spawn locations; 14–16 active). Longer routes but higher loot potential. Fewer loading screens due to waypoint optimization.
Southern Zone:
Smaller, simpler (9 chest spots; up to 5 active). Faster loops, easier to memorize. Slightly less loot but simpler for beginners.
Blacksmith & Stash:
Teleport to PvP town, quickly run to blacksmith or stash to manage inventory.
Bloodmark While Walking:
Queue chest opening while moving to save time.
Cooldown Gear:
Mount and gear with cooldown reduction speeds up travel between chests.
Northern PvP Zone is superior:
29 chest spawn locations, 14–16 active at once. Larger map, but higher loot per run.
Bloodmark yourself immediately upon entering the zone (assign it to your emote wheel or hotkey). This allows opening chests, though you can now be PvP-targeted.
Turn off crossplay at character select:
Only see players on your server. Greatly reduces gank risk.
Set your favorite waypoint to the PvP town:
Avoids extra loading screens and speeds up the loop.
Follow a numbered chest route (1 → 14–16):
Learn to spot chest shapes and locations from afar. Ignore locations if max chest count is reached (14–16).
Reset the PvP zone efficiently:
Exit to town → back to character select → reload zone. All chests, elites, and bosses respawn.
Use mount + cooldown reduction gear for maximum speed. Use abilities like Epigoic Fur (Necro ultimate) to reset horse cooldown.
Optional: mobility bonuses (attack-reduce evade, metamorphosis, etc.) improve efficiency.
Focus on baleful chests: gold, veiled crystals, forgotten souls, legendaries, ancestral gear, dungeon sigils, etc. Kill elites and bosses for extra loot if time allows. Pick up seeds of hatred, herbs, and other materials for crafting and gambling.
Result: Hundreds of thousands to millions of gold, high-end gear, crafting mats, and XP per hour.
Southern PvP Zone (Denshar):
Only 9 chest locations, max 5 active.
Smaller and easier to memorize.
Less risk and simpler route for new players.
Bloodmark yourself and optionally turn off crossplay (optional if not worried about PvP). Set waypoint to PvP town for quick returns.
Run through the 5 main chests sequentially. Stop at optional events or elite monsters if you want extra loot. Ignore distant chests if you only need a quick loop.
Mount + basic speed cooldowns suffice. Less reliance on advanced skills or ultimate resets.
Focus on grabbing baleful chest drops.
Optional: pick up seeds and materials, but avoid chasing every elite.
Result: Efficient, low-risk farming with most of the high-value loot and minimal complexity.
