Lantern Festival (Nov 1 - 11)
The Lantern Festival is celebrated in Europe as a magical night when children carry lanterns and sing to usher in winter. The event creates a warm, glowing atmosphere on your island with villagers participating in lantern-lit festivities. From November 1 to 11, 2025, players can buy special Nook Shopping Seasonal items tied to the celebration, notably the Handheld Lantern, a beloved holdable light source, and Chitose Ame, a traditional sweet treat that adds cultural charm.

Turkey Day
Turkey Day is a festive harvest event that will start on November 27, 2025, where Franklin appears as the head chef at a grand feast in the plaza. Players gather various ingredients from their island and the villagers to help Franklin cook four distinctive dishes, each rewarding unique Turkey Day furniture or interior items. Secret ingredients unlock bonus DIY items and the Cozy Turkey Day DIY Pack. After completing all dishes, villagers celebrate by dancing and singing until the event concludes.

Coinciding with Turkey Day, Nook Friday runs from the fourth Friday in November until the 30th. During this time, everything at Nook’s Cranny is 30% off. It’s an excellent opportunity to purchase Turkey Day items and other seasonal goods at a discount. However, The Cozy Turkey Day DIY Pack and Turkey Day Recipes Pack cannot be purchased during the sale due to event mechanics.

1. Mushroom Season (Northern)
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, mushrooms are valuable crafting materials that appear seasonally near hardwood and cedar trees. In the northern hemisphere, mushrooms spawn throughout November, while in the southern hemisphere, they appear during May. Besides your island, mushrooms can also be found on special mushroom boat tour islands.
There are five types of mushrooms you can collect. Round, Skinny, Flat, and Elegant mushrooms grow on the ground. Rare mushrooms are found buried underground. Each day, five mushrooms spawn until a maximum of 30 mushrooms is present on your island. After reaching this cap, no new mushrooms will appear until some are harvested. Mushrooms do not spawn on mystery islands, but are available on mushroom-themed boat tour islands.
Mushroom Spawn Rates by Island Star Rating
The spawn rates for each mushroom type vary depending on the island's star rating (3-star to 5-star). Higher-rated islands tend to have better chances to spawn elegant and rare mushrooms.
