The March of the Goblins event has returned to Sanctuary, bringing with it a flood of treasure goblins, free cosmetics, and bonus loot opportunities for every adventurer. Whether you're a returning veteran or a newer player looking to maximize your rewards before Season 14 arrives, this guide walks you through everything you need to know to farm goblins efficiently and claim every reward this event offers.
To kick things off, let's take a quick look at what this event actually brings to the table before diving into dates, rewards, reputation ranks, and the top farming spots.

The March of the Goblins is a returning seasonal event in Diablo 4 where treasure goblins spawn much more frequently across Sanctuary. During the event, you'll find more goblins in the open world, inside dungeons, in Helltides, and even within the Infernal Hordes. Each goblin you slay contributes to a reputation board located in Kyovashad, which rewards you with gold, gear, runes, charms, a Resplendent Spark, and an exclusive horse mount armor cosmetic. On top of that, the event runs alongside Mother's Blessing for an XP boost across the board, giving you double the reason to log in.
Now that you know what the event is all about, let's get into the specifics, starting with when you can actually take part in all this goblin-slaying fun.
The event went live alongside the Season 14 PTR and runs for a full week, giving you plenty of time to clear the reputation board and grab every reward.
Start Date: June 2, 2026
End Date: June 9, 2026
Since the event overlaps with Mother's Blessing, this is a perfect window to push your class to high-end paragon levels, test out a new build, or simply farm gear at a faster rate than usual. With only a week to play through it, you'll want to be smart about how you spend your time — which brings us to the rewards.
The reputation board in Kyovashad scales with every goblin you defeat, and each rank unlocks something useful. Here's what you can expect along the way:
Gold, gear, runes, and charms at various tiers as you progress through the board.
A Resplendent Spark for crafting mythic uniques.
Regalia of the Sacred Creed Horse Mount Armor is the exclusive cosmetic for completing the event.
A Legendary Emblem to show off your accomplishment.
A repeatable cache that unlocks at the final rank. Be sure to claim it before the event ends, or you'll lose all that extra loot you've been earning.
In addition to the in-game rewards, the shop is offering six free cosmetics for the 3-year anniversary, with one unlocking each day:
Blood Raven's Talon (One-handed Sword)
King Kanai's Last Stand (Shield, Wednesday)
Nangari Wounder (Dagger, Thursday)
Overlord's Odium (Two-handed Axe, Friday)
Flamefinger's Claws (Glaive, Saturday)
If you miss any of these during their drop day, you can still claim them up until June 9th. With your rewards laid out, the next step is figuring out how to actually rank up that reputation board quickly.
Maxing out your reputation board isn't just about chasing the final cosmetic — it directly boosts your loot output from every goblin you kill. As you climb through ranks, treasure goblins gain a slightly improved chance to drop treasure bags, and at rank 210, you reach the repeatable cache that becomes the real reason to keep grinding.
If you just want to blitz the entire board in under 10 minutes, the Infernal Hordes is your fastest ticket. Here's how it works:
Adjust your War Plans by speccing down the Total Chaos path on the Infernal Hordes tree to make chaos waves appear more often.
Run the Infernal Hordes solo or in a party.
If you get lucky and roll the Goblin Chaos Wave, clearing it can complete the entire reputation board in a single run.
It's pure RNG, but when it hits, it's the fastest method in the game. Treat it as your starting point rather than your only attempt.
Once your board is maxed and you want to keep farming, treasure breach nightmare dungeon sigils are where the real value lives. These dungeons spawn 30 to 40 goblins per run, dropping loot so fast you'll be teleporting back to town multiple times.
Set up these War Plans nodes on the Nightmare Dungeon tree to get sigils more consistently:
Goblin Fall - treasure goblins have a small chance to drop treasure breach nightmare dungeon sigils.
Heradric Hunter - kill 20 elites across runs to upgrade your sigil odds.
Altar of Avarice - replaces Horadric altars with goblin altars that only spawn treasure goblins.
Greed is Good - killing a treasure goblin in a nightmare dungeon has a small chance to spawn a portal leading to a Goblin Retreat.
There's also a slick reset trick for treasure breach dungeons. Run your War Plans until the next activity is the Infernal Hordes, then open your treasure breach sigil and teleport into the nightmare dungeon instead. Clear the dungeon but leave the boss alive. Then open your map and hit the teleport button that would normally take you to the Infernal Hordes. There's a chance your treasure breach will reset, sending you back to the start of the dungeon with all goblins respawned. Reset might take 5 attempts or 50, but when it works, you have an infinite goblin farm.
With your reputation farming plan in place, let's look at where the best open-world hunting grounds are.
For players who prefer running the overworld or don't have the expansion, there are several reliable zones that consistently produce goblins. Before you head out, take a moment to adjust a few settings for the best results.
Log out and turn off cross-network play in your connect options. This reduces the number of players in your map, leaving more goblins for you.
Equip Subo as your mercenary, his map hack skill shows enemies on the map.
Use the main map (not the mini map) zoomed in two clicks. This gives you the farthest view distance for spotting goblins.
Rotate torment difficulties between T11 and T12 to avoid internal spawn cooldowns.
Hunt down Greed Shrines, kill nearby monsters first, then activate the shrine so it spawns goblins.
Nahantu (Expansion Required)
The southeastern town area in Nahantu is hands-down one of the densest goblin zones in the game. Run along the upper section after exiting town, looping through the high-density area. Avoid the southern portion, as goblin spawns there are sparse.
Hawezar
Run along the top of the zone. Goblins spawn frequently in the green areas and right at the edge of the red zone. The back end tends to be picked clean by other farmers, so stick to the upper paths.
Kehjistan Coastline (Ked Bardu) - No Expansion Needed
This classic spot remains excellent for players without the expansion. Head north from Ked Bardu and follow the coastline. Coastline zones consistently produce more goblins because spawn density appears tied to land area, and the inaccessible water tiles push spawns onto the available land.
PvP Zone
The Fields of Hatred can be a goldmine depending on your server and time of day. Density is high, but your experience may vary based on how many players are around.
Horrost Demise (Regular Dungeon)
This two-floor dungeon has been reported as a strong fast farm. Run a quick loop on the top floor looking for a greed shrine. If there's no shrine, exit, reset the dungeon, and try again. When you find one, clear the loop and harvest the goblin density.
Escalating Nightmare Dungeons
These have a chance to spawn treasure breach rooms inside. If you're already grinding nightmare dungeons for whisper progress, you might luck into goblin rooms naturally.
The Pits
Pits now drop loot when you kill goblins inside them, and greed shrines have become much more common here. This makes pit running surprisingly viable as a goblin farm.
Echoing Hatred Keys
If you happen to find or be gifted one of these rare keys, prioritize it. Reports describe these as absolutely insane for goblin density.
While Helltides aren't the densest goblin spot, combining them with Mother's Blessing makes them excellent for double-dipping XP and event progress. Set up your War Plans with Hellmouth and Writhing and Rot to make Hellwyrms reliably spew XP maggots, then use Hellwyrm spawn tracking sites to map your route efficiently. Adding the Meat Brothers node swaps Hellborne for two butchers with a chance to drop Profane Mindcages for stackable monster power buffs.
Don't sit in one zone, spawns have internal cooldowns, so rotate frequently.
Leave loot on the ground after killing goblins around a Greed Shrine. Pick it up after you've cleared every spawn so you don't waste shrine duration.
When you complete a zone with no whispers active, there are usually fewer players around, perfect for solo farming.
Always claim your repeatable end-of-board cache before June 9th. Forgetting means losing every extra drop you earned.
With the right combination of War Plans setup, the Infernal Hordes for instant board completion, treasure breach dungeons for sustained farming, and the open-world coastline routes for casual sessions, you have everything you need to make the most of this year's March of the Goblins event. Get in, slay greedily, and grab those rewards before the event wraps up on June 9th.
