How to Farm Whisper Caches in Diablo 4 Season 10 (Gift of the Tree)

The Gift of the Tree event runs until October 14th in Diablo 4 Season 10, giving you a limited window to take advantage of massively boosted Whisper Cache rewards. In this D4 Season 10 Gift of the Tree event guide, we're going to tell you how to farm Whisper Caches.

What the “Gift of the Tree” Event Does in Diablo 4

Normally, when you complete Whisper objectives and turn them in, you get Whisper Caches — chests filled with loot, gold, crafting materials, and XP. During this event, every single Whisper Cache you open also grants an extra legendary cache called the “Gift of the Tree Cache.”When you open any Whisper Cache, you’ll automatically receive a second bonus cache. This Gift of the Tree cache includes a mix of rewards from all other cache types.

• Random Legendaries and Uniques

• Chance for Chaos Uniques (rare)

• Very small chance for Mythics

• D4 Gold, XP, and crafting materials

• Boss summoning materials

Essentially, you’re getting double the loot and double the XP from every Whisper Cache you open. Even better — the event cache itself seems more juiced than standard ones.

Best Ways to Farm Whisper Caches Efficiently in Diablo 4

There are multiple efficient routes to farm whispers fast. Since each cache gives double rewards during the event, your goal is to maximize Whisper points per minute.

1️⃣Ladder Boss Whispers

• Appear every hour when the map cycles objectives.

• Always include at least one 5-Point Whisper on a ladder boss.

• You can teleport directly to ladder boss arenas.

• Summoning costs no materials — only opening the chest does.

• Defeat the boss for an instant 5 Whisper points.

• One of the fastest ways to farm.

2️⃣ Pit / Infernal Hordes / Undercity Whispers

• These “activity” Whispers rotate hourly.

• Each gives 5 Whisper points.

• Do the lowest possible key for speed.

• You don’t need higher tiers for better Whisper rewards.

3️⃣ Dungeon Whispers

• Large number of dungeons get 5-point Whisper objectives each cycle.

• You can use Nightmare Sigils to teleport directly to dungeons that currently have Whispers.

• Or, you can manually run to each dungeon (takes more time).

4️⃣ Hell Tide Whispers

• Great for multitasking: farming mats, XP, and double caches.

• Often feature a Maiden boss for a 5-point Whisper — takes ~2 mins.

• Alternate Hell Tides may overlap with Nahu region Whispers → double dip for 10 points.

• Chaos portals and Harbingers also progress your objectives quickly.

5️⃣ PvP Zone Whispers

• Two PvP zones each have multiple Whisper objectives:

  5-Point Whisper for killing the PvP boss (instant kill).

  3-Point Whisper for collecting and cleansing PvP shards (takes ~1 min).

• Easy 8 Whisper points every cycle, almost no danger in PvE.

6️⃣ World Events
